Vasundhara

Last year, Vasundhara’s days were spent in water collection.  She would walk frequently face heat stroke walking miles across the desert.

Today, Vasundhara is going to school.  A brand new rainwater harvesting tank provides her family with clean water.  Her mother has setup a kitchen garden next to the tank; enabling Vasundhara to eat fruits and green vegetables.  In addition, her mother has planted wheat and millet for income.  Water from a brand new Khadin (farming dyke) provides irrigation.

Vasundhara is filled with joy and is grateful for the gift of education.  She wants to become a Collector in order to change the lives of people in rural communities for the better.
