Sangeeta & Pintu

Sangeeta, who is 12 years old, helps her mother collect water from a local pond and then with her sister, assists her mother in picking crops.

Sangeeta is unable to attend school regularly due to her time-consuming chores. Her 8-year-old sister, Pintu, will have to follow the same path when she is older. Both Sangeeta and Pintu love school and try to attend school and study as much as possible.

Thanks to donations from Raj & Ruchi Rishi and the Richa & Atul Aggarwal Foundation, Sangeeta and Pintu will soon be attending school rather than walking long distances to collect water. Moreover, their family will have clean water, more nutritious food and additional income.
