Impact

As of January 2013, OneProsper has provided over 200 small farmers in India with drip irrigation kits. Drip irrigation kits of one acre each were provided to small farmers from two disadvantaged communities (Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Caste) on a cost-sharing basis (the beneficiary pays 20% of the cost).

Small farmers realized the following benefits from drip irrigation:

  • 50% reduction in fertilizer cost as a result of using organic water soluble fertilizer
  • 78% increase in crop yields
  • 116% increase in incomes
  • 30% water savings
